It may be a new year but it's still the same old conundrum about freedom campers and whether they're a blessing or a curse. Two spots in Golden Bay, Waitapu Bridge and Taupata Point have been officially dropped from the freedom camping list but they continue to attract overnight stayers. Friday night at the Observatory
Nelson Astronomical Society is about to start it's winter public observing season. Most clear Friday nights until daylight savings we will open the Cawthron Observatory at Cliffton terrace School and for a small donation you can enjoy views through several different telescopes including our wonderful Celestron C-14 scope.
