Martinborough residents urged to conserve water
Wellington Water have been working on an upgrade to the Martinborough water treatment plant and the work has taken longer than planned. As a result the reservoir is currently running low and we need residents and businesses to urgently conserve water.
We are making urgent repairs to get the plant back online. This means the supply to residents and businesses is limited throughout the town. Water should only be used for drinking, cooking and hygiene.
We ask that you avoid showers and baths, running washing machines and dishwashers, and avoid garden watering.
We thank you from your patience during this time.
Poll: Does the building consent process need to change?
We definitely need homes that are fit to live in but there are often frustrations when it comes to getting consent to modify your own home.
Do you think changes need made to the current process for building consent? Share your thoughts below.
