Major Christchurch roadworks to be mostly done by October
Major roadworks in St Albans, Edgeware and Mairehau should be completed by October, the Christchurch City Council says.
Work started in February and a mid-year deadline was in place, but the Covid-19 lockdown caused delays.
The work includes upgrades to the intersection of Forfar and Warrington streets, and the Bealey Ave and Sherborne St intersection, new traffic signals at the Barbadoes St and Warrington St intersection, and the rebuild of Cranford St between Innes Rd and Oxley Ave.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
