Is choosing a co-ed or single sex school a parent's right?

Katy Jones Reporter from The Nelson Mail

Nayland College, the only mixed gender high school in Nelson city, says it will implement an enrolment zone in 2021, because of the school's growing roll. The zone will likely mean families in central Nelson won't have the choice of a co-ed school any more, with their local high school being either all boys school, Nelson College, or Nelson College for Girls. But some parents say their children are not suited to a single sex school.
