Waipu Museum Art'nTartan
The Organising Committee for Waipu Museum’s Art’n Tartan Awards is postponing this year’s 10th Anniversary event.
Claire Drake, Producer and Debi Walters Brown, 2020 Director, said today “Our Art’n Tartan Wearable Art Awards attract an audience of 1500 people over 3 performances in July each year. Now that the Government has banned all indoor events over 100 people we need to postpone our iconic event until it is again safe to invite people to attend our Awards.”
“Also, we are very mindful of the many designers, artists and models who are preparing to enter the competition this year. We know that they look forward to the excitement of the shows and it is very important that we advise them of the postponement as early as possible.”
The Organising Committee will continue to monitor the situation and will be in contact with all designers, artists and sponsors in the very near future. “ We simply do not know how the Covid 19 pandemic will play out, but we will be holding the 10th Anniversary event as soon as it is possible to do so, and in the meantime we will be keeping in touch with all our stakeholders. As soon as it is once again safe to hold events, we will announce the new dates for our 10th Anniversary Awards.”
“We hope everyone who was planning to participate in or attend Art’nTartan in 2020, will join us again as soon as conditions permit. In the meantime, keep an eye on Art’n Tartan Facebook – we are planning to hold a few fun events in the spirit of the competition. Look out for something coming soon!”
