74 Seagrove Road, Waiau Pa - 2,000m³/day Water-Take Application by Q-Invest for proposed Kiwifruit Orchard
Head's Up warning: January 30th is the deadline for receipt by Auckland Council of your notification form confirming your attendance at the application hearing on 10th and 12th February to be held at the Franklin Council chambers in Manukau Road.
This application has raised considerable opposition from local residents who legitemately fear the adverse impact that this development will have on their well-bores. 463Litres/Min x 3 well-bores is an outrageous amount of water-extraction! Your prescence is a silent show of solidarity that will convey the right message to the council adjudicators. If you have any contact with a hydrologist who can provide expert opinion on - and in support of residents - the deleterious effects on the aquifer system that may arise then please make timely arrangements to permit the presentation of their testimony.
