Renewed hopes for Woodend bypass after roading cash boost
A Woodend bypass could be back on the table after the Government announced plans to inject more money into road and rail.
The $6.8 billion investment was released in last Wednesday's budget policy statement and Waimakariri MP Matt Doocey says now is the time to make a noise
He welcomed the review of the Belfast to Pegasus motorway, which included the bypass of the town north of Christchurch, and said it was a "vital roading project".
