Bearded Iris blooming season is here.....Dwarf irises $8
Bearded Iris blooming season is here. I have put pictures of some of the Dwarf bearded irises that I have for sale at $8 for a little clump of at least two, probably more rhizomes. They will be trimmed and ready to plant and should put on good growth through the Summer, ready for flowering next season. They are already conditioned to the Wairarapa climate which is an advantage.
The dwarf Irises grow no taller than about 30 or 40 cms. I do have names for most of them.
They look lovely on a border edge, in a rockery, and do well in pots too.
Easy to grow , they do like a well drained position and at least 5 hours sun a day.
The Tall bearded irises are just coming into flower now and you are welcome to view those.
All the irises pictured here are dwarf to Medium sized irises. I plan to list the Talls later.
Thanks for looking.
Pickup is in Kuripuni.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
