Marlborough farmer Rob Peter is stoked to see the return of
New Zealand's most venomous spider after concerns for the declining population.
He said in the 70s and 80s, the katipō spider was "plentiful" along Marlborough's east coast, and they were easily able to find them under logs.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
