Can we restore Masterton's urban biodiversity?
Masterton and Wairarapa residents are invited to explore the possibility of developing our urban equivalents to Wellington City's Zealandia, Capital Kiwi and Predator Free aspirational initiatives.
Is it possible to again have within the town Rata and Rimu, Kaka and Kereru, the green Gecko or whatever?
Come, hear and discuss how it could happen with the Mayor and PROFESSOR BRUCE CLARKSON, a leading expert in the Government's National Science Challenge looking to the future of our towns and cities (Many will remember his great talk here a year or more back). He will tell us about ambitious pilots elsewhere in the country.
On Sunday August 18th at the Copthorne from 1-4pm.
Admission free.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
