Emergency Radio Group

Alan from Plimmerton

Today there was a successful Fun Run at which our radio group provided the communications.
Four of us together with a new recruit, Michelle, were posted to various points on the three courses from which we communicated with the base at Plimmerton School using the four handheld VHF radios owned by Plimmerton Residents Association.
It was a good exercise for the group and was helpful to the race organisers on the location and progress of the runners.
We are looking for new recruits so that we can have a fully manned radio team for the Plimmerton Hub opening on 17 March.
If anyone would like to join our group please contact Alan Reader on 0224042414 and we will arrange for a training session before the Hub opening.
