Community Kai

Janine from Rotorua Central

Community Kai has been operating for 4 years plus. Levi Leathers is the lady the heads up the small group that help feed the community, Levi just doesn't feed the homeless it is for everyone that feels they need it. Levi and her group do not discriminate against anyone ALL ARE WELCOME. Levi has bread and pastries given to her through bakeries. I have spoken to the people that have been recipients of the meals and they are totally blown away with community kai. They also do deliveries to people that cant make it out. Levi does keep good records on who comes and staff attendants. I work with PARS and i seen first hand what Levi's generosity does. Levis team consists of a around 30 volunteers that make it possible for the service to be provided.
Community Kia can and will benefit with this grant.

Tell us who are you honouring today. Whether it's a story from the battlefield or a memory of a family member who fought in the war, we'd love you to share your stories below.
