SOS Day - Community Safety Expo
We are all set for the Safety Expo on the 9th March at Te Kura Tawhito (Central New Brighton school) from 11am to 3pm. We are looking for more food vans or groups looking for fundraising opportunities. One opportunity is to provide cuppas and cakes in the onsite kitchen for those who want to take a load off. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
