Papanui High School Te Reo classes Term 1

Papanui High School is once again offering our popular Te Reo Maori nightclasses. We have a beginners class on a Monday night starting on 11 February 7-9 pm for 7 weeks at a cost of $128 which will focus on attention to pronunciation, learning basic phrases and personal introductions. For those who are beyond this stage we have a Post Beginners class on a Wednesday night starting on 13 February 7-9 pm for 7 weeks at a cost of $128 which will follow on from the Beginners Course and is for those students who already have a basic understanding of Te Reo. The course will include introduction to whakatauki/proverbs and kiwaha/everyday phrases. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
