Art Classes for adults
The year is starting again for my art school for adults and older students (run in the Karangahake Gorge at my studio). Teaching oils, acrylics and pastels, workshops available in pastels and Marbling on Paper. There are day classes (Tues & Wed 9-11am and 1-3pm), and evening classes Tues 6.30-8.30pm and Wed 5-7pm. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
