Are you concerned about Takapuna Beach campground
Hi neighbours A year ago, the council confirmed Takapuna Beach Holiday Park would be saved and a new leaseholder found. It is still in limbo, however. Are you concerned? Or hopeful things will soon be sorted out? You can go along and join a discussion on the lease at the local board meeting next Tuesday 4pm. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
