CCTV footage released in hunt for man who attempted to grab woman

Police hunting a man who attempted to grab a woman from behind in Auckland have released CCTV footage of a car they are looking for.

The attempted assault took place in Avondale between 8pm and 9.30pm on September 11, when the woman was followed by a man driving a black sedan.

If you have seen a vehicle or person matching this description behaving suspiciously, please call us immediately, even the smallest piece of information may prove valuable to help ensure this man is held to account for his actions.

The man was described as being possibly Māori or Pacific Islander, in his 30s and around 175 cm tall.
