Car Crash on Verbena Road
Well, it has happened, again. A car crash around the corner from Lymington Castle. This isn't the first time there has been a crash on this stretch of road either. I've spoken to my neighbour, whose car was unfortunately hit by the speeding driver.
This is the 4th time a car belonging to his family has been hit. This particular incident was so bad, that his parked car was sent flying 3 houses down the street. Thank god no one was injured. You can only imagine what would have happened if there were pedestrians caught up in the crash!
The reckless driver did a runner, but hopefully the police will catch up with them.
One silver lining from this crash was that I met 3 more neighbours and invited them to join Neighbourhood Support for our street. Neighbourhood Support works to keep neighbourhoods safer by keeping us in touch with our neighbours. If you live on Verbena Road and are keen to join, do let me know! =)
This incident brings to mind again my previous posts about maniacs on the road, reckless, aggressive driving and speeding around housing areas.
Hopefully something can be done, like speed bumps on Verbena road or traffic islands.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
