Darren Petry from Taupō District Council

Best of luck to everyone taking part in the Hoka One One Taupo Marathon this weekend!

To help keep everybody safe, road closures will be in place on Saturday along part of Tongariro Street, Lake Terrace, Ferry Road and Story Place from 6.30am as shown on the map.

Please be aware a new course is being used this year which will see runners and walkers going through Acacia Bay between 8am and 11.30am, but there are no road closures in this area.

If you’re out and about please take extra care and keep an eye out for all competitors. Thanks everybody!
