Poll: Should fishing from Flat Rock in Muriwai be banned?
A double-drowning tragedy has prompted calls by locals to ban fishing in the area. On July 16th, a West Auckland couple were swept off Flat Rock, a popular fishing spot that locals described as dangerous and unpredictable due to the large, rough waves that washed across the rocks.
