Should Okura Holdings Limited be appealing the Environment Court's decision?
Hi neighbours. Okura Holdings Limited is appealing an Environment Court decision, made three weeks ago, which effectively quashed its plans to build 1000 homes next to the Long Bay-Okura Marine Reserve. The court concluded the Rural Urban Boundary should not be extended to incorporate the developer's plans. Okura Holdings Limited, a subsidiary of Todd Property is taking its appeal to the High Court, with its managing director Evan Davies stating "there are fundamental matters of law that require further consideration by the courts". Long Bay Okura Great Park Society's convenor, Pat Baskett, however, said it is part of a developer's "relentless drive for profit". What are your thoughts? Put NFP in your post if it is not for publication.
