You Never Know When A Disaster or Something Untoward may happen!

Sharon Fleet from

As did happen on 29th April. We were called in to help for the following 2 weeks to be the "Eyes and Ears" for the Police to help deter unwanted guests and opportunists.

The Ngongotaha Community Patrol have been patrolling Ngongotaha and surrounding areas since July 2004. Our effective membership is now insufficient to cover as many days and nights as we would wish.

We need new volunteers.

Requirements:
• Any age, male or female
• Can be couples / Physically impaired not a problem
• Clean Police record
• Approximately four hours of your time every month
• Must attend at least three trainings per year.

Patrollers are always rostered on in pairs; times are left to the discretion of patrollers. We are in cell phone contact with the Police and have a Police Radio and do NOT leave our vehicle unless specifically asked by Police.
Our main role is PREVENTION and we act solely as the “eyes and ears” for the Police.

Please help us to help you.

Do you think you could become a community patroller and help keep Ngongotaha a safe place to live?

For further information please phone
David 357 4734 or Sharon 027 289 8846

Lest we forget...

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

On this ANZAC Day, let's take a moment to remember and honor the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country.

Tell us who are you honouring today. Whether it's a story from the battlefield or a memory of a family member who fought in the war, we'd love you to share your stories below.

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

We definitely need homes that are fit to live in but there are often frustrations when it comes to getting consent to modify your own home.
Do you think changes need made to the current process for building consent? Share your thoughts below.
