$50 from Vector for power outage
Hi all,
Just a reminder that you can claim $50 compensation for each power outage of 2.5 hours or more (excluding the recent storm).
Call Vector on 0508 832 867 and ask for compensation - they’ll ask for some details from you and can either pay direct to your bank or send a cheque.
If you were affected by the outage last week, a reminder of the event:
Power out: 19.40 on 10th May 2018
Restored: some time after midnight (I was asleep by then!)

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
