Rolleston town centre development given green light
Rolleston residents are a step closer to getting their own silver screen and restaurant district.
The Selwyn District Council unanimously approved the location and next stages of planning and design for the new Rolleston town centre on Wednesday – after more than 10 years of work.
The development will sit in a large area of Rolleston Reserve, running along Tennyson St between Moore St and Rolleston Ave. It will include the new Rolleston Library and Community Centre, a cinema, town square, retail area, restaurants, cafes and transport services.
