VULNERABLE ELDERLY
I was chatting to an 84 year old acquaintance yesterday. She was a bit upset and distracted, as her only local family member had decided to go to Aussie to live.
While distressed, she had received a phone call from a very pleasant sounding lady from her bank. The lady listened to her woes and sympathised with her plight.
You've guessed it- my friend not only gave the "lovely " lady her bank account number, but her PIN number as well.
This age group come from an era where people left their doors unlocked, and the keys in their car ignition. They take people at face value.
