Look Good Feel Better Volunteers

Ruth from Blenheim

As most of my family and friends may know I am involved in ‘Look Good Feel Better’ as the local facilitator here in Blenheim.
We are holding a workshop training this coming Saturday 24th February from 10-2pm to introduce any new volunteers to this wonderful opportunity.
LGFB is a charitable organisation that helps women feel good on the outside while going through cancer treatment.
We run 4-5 workshops a year which are held on a Monday.
If you would like to be involved as a Volunteer we would love to hear from you.
A skill or background in makeup would definitely be an advantage but not a necessity. If you can follow ‘step by step’ instructions for skincare and makeup and would like to be involved in this organisation I would love to hear from you, or perhaps you know someone who may be well suited to this volunteer position.
The workshop training this coming Saturday 24th February is limited to 15 ladies who will have the opportunity to be involved 4-5 times a year to add to our list of existing volunteers.

Hopefully you will want to be involved or have people in mind or have talked to about becoming a volunteer.

We will have and be pleased to introduce you to Pip Callanan the Regional Community Liaison Manager, she is coming down from Auckland to participate in this training.

Timetable for the day
10.00 - 10.30 Morning tea and mingling to meet everyone
10.30 - 11.30 Pip will take us all through Health and Safety, Code of Conduct training
11.30 - 12.30 Lunch
12.30 - 2.00 Hands on training of skincare and makeup.

Ruth and Cherie will provide morning tea but if we could all please bring a plate of finger food to share for lunch that would be much appreciated.

If you can please confirm that you are able to come and the name and email addresses of any other ladies that would like to come. We would really love to have all 15 spots filled.
Please feel free to take a look at our web page at:
www.lgfb.co.nz...

I Look forward to hearing from you. Ruth x

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
