Crimewatch (Chch) Inc

Lisa from Linwood

Crimewatch (Chch) Inc - (Community patrols) We patrol the areas of Christchurch helping to keep you safe from crime. We also patrol schools, parks and areas where the public frequently visit. Our physical presence gives the public assurances that we put their safety and wellbeing first. We are expanding our reach and our fleet of vehicles because we have the opportunity to run a lot more activities that help support the wellbeing of the whole community. As we are a non-profit organisation we do require funding to pay for fuel and other vehicle expenses to keep our fleets running to an excellent standard. As an example of what we do - our patrollers located a large number of male youths consuming alcohol on a private reserve. Crimewatch was able to successfully remove the youths with non-confrontational strategies to ensure the peacefulness of the area was restored.
