What do people think of having Community Boards in Nelson?
Community Boards provide a formal framework for communication between councils and their communities. This arrangement is designed to be mutually beneficial. They also work as a check and balance on the council. I assume that the Nelson ratepayers Association is currently filling this vacuum without a lot of the powers a Community Board has. I think its time Nelson has a Community Board..- as some of the things that the council appears to be doing are pretty suspect. What are your thoughts? try and keep it civil and constructive, thanks.
