Cultured and Fermented Foods Workshop

Anne from Whakatane District

Learn how to make your own probiotic superfoods at home.

- Kefir, dairy and non-dairy
- Kombucha
- Fermented vegetables

They are easy and cheap to make yourself. I will demonstrate how to make them and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions. The workshop will include instruction handouts, recipes and tasting. You will also take home a jar of Kombucha starter ( Scoby and starter tea).

I am running two workshops:
Sunday 8 October, 9.30am to 12pm at Pou Whakaaro
Sunday, 15 October, 2pm to 4.30pm at Eastbay REAP

Cost $35

You can register for the workshop by emailing me at culturedhealing@gmail.com, or pm me on facebook.

Kind regards

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
