Future secured for Kawakawa pool
The future of the Far North’s only Council-funded heated public swimming pool is more secure thanks to an agreement between the Far North District Council, Sport Northland, Bay of Islands College and the Ministry of Education. For news about other Far North District Council projects and services that make the District a great place to live and visit, go to our website and read our latest Creating Great Places newsletter.
Te Papawai Community Pool is a 25-metre, six-lane pool located at the Bay of Islands Recreation Centre at Bay of Islands College, Kawakawa. The pool is open to the general public seven days a week (Monday to Friday 6am-7:30pm and Saturday/Sunday 8am-2pm). Please phone the pool on (09) 404 0127 before visiting, because it is sometimes used by swimming clubs.

Hi, what's your name?
We want to get to know our neighbours and we think you do too!
Simply share a little about yourself on the Know Thy Neighbour page and others will follow suit (you could also win one of our 10 x $50 Prezzy® cards!).
Are you the go-to person for baking advice (and a cup of sugar!) or have some computer skills that you're happy to share? We'd love to know.
Whether you're looking for others to join you on your walks, or just wanting to know more about your neighbours, go ahead and introduce yourself.
