Removal of Mirror at junction of Bay Road and Highway 99 Riverton
Please read page 2 of the Western Star September issue.Comment by Editor and Letter to the Editor. I am horrified to learn that said mirror will be removed in October for a 2 month trial and I think it is ludicrous. I have tried to contact the editor of the Southland Times on Neighbourly but couldn't get message to go through and have left a telephone message for Natasha to call me. Back me up if you think this decision is wrong!

🎉 Exciting news for Southland! We’re getting a brand new museum – the Te Unua Museum of Southland!
⏳ The not-so-great news? It’s still a little way off. The Invercargill City Council has decided to wait until the museum is fully finished in late 2027 before opening, instead of opening parts early at extra cost.
We want to hear from you: Would it be worth investing more money to open the museum in stages, even if it costs more, or is waiting for the full experience the better option?
