Just a little heads up for all the fresh bread lovers in town: bro art will NOT be operating from the 8th October through to the 4th November 2017 - we are going on a little well-deserved holiday :) That includes bread not being delivered to The Merchant of Taupo on Fridays and neither sold on the Riverside Market on Saturdays during that time period. To plan ahead you can easily purchased the loaves and freeze them and unfreeze whenever needed.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
