Avalon is currently looking for a volunteer who is passionate about FISHING!!! This special volunteer role offers you the opportunity to do something you love while supporting our clients to achieve their goal. Volunteers will be “working” 1 on 1 alongside our client for 2-3 hours a week- this should be adequate time for you to share fishing stories and catch a few snappers in time for dinner. Avalon is a charitable trust that provides services in the Bay of Plenty to support individuals with a recognised disability. A key component of Avalon’s work is to reduce barriers to inclusion in community for the people we support.

Avalon’s team of Facilitators (assisted by volunteers) support individuals to gain the skills and knowledge and link them with opportunities in their communities to practice and progress their confidence to live a life of value.
