Old Lab Dog with Red studded collar
Driving to work this evening 1040 from Tutukaka I almost ran over a Black Lab Dog (Across from the Marae just before entering Tikipunga). Anyone missing a old dog which was happy to climb into my car with a young kid approx 16 yrs old whom claimed it was his. (Don't know what I was thinking). Dropped both dog and male kid off at Mobile Petrol Station (Plaza) where I knew/hoped there would be CCTV. Didn't feel right when I left.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
