Wellington Rabbit Rescue

Chrissy Joy from Wellington Rabbit Rescue

Hello Neighbours!

If you haven't already done it - go check out our Facebook page: www.facebook.com...

We also now have our website up & running: www.wellingtonrabbitrescue.org.nz...

Do you love animals? Do you want to support a local rescue? We are based in Maungaraki, Lower Hutt at this stage.

It costs us around $300 per rabbit to desex & vaccinate. This means our vet bill is HUGE considering in the almost 2 years we have been running we have never had a week without 15+ rabbits in our care. We have literally had hundreds desexed, vaccinated and rehomed. (Not to mention all the special surgeries for injured and sick bunnies).

Every $1 adds up, if you can help us out please donate to:
Wgtn Rabbit Rescue
12-3143-0359794-00

Other than monetary donations we are in desperate need of:

* Hay
* A large pinboard/noticeboard for events
* Fresh vegetables, fruit and herbs
* Rolls of chicken mesh
* Clean/New wood pallets.

We also rely heavily on good foster homes for our rabbits. We often have 20+ rabbits in our care and a constant wait-list of rabbits to come in.

BUT if you can't donate money or items to Wellington Rabbit Rescue and still want to help - simply liking our page and sharing our posts on Facebook is a massive help. :-)

Thanks for taking the time to read this post. :-)

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
