Looking for an awesome cleaner!
Hi Neighbourly!
I'm looking for an awesome new cleaner as ours from a group agency thing are bloody terrible!
I want someone who is doing this on their own so the $ isn't being gobbled up by admins, someone who has strong attention to detail and who will also help out with extra work down the line.
Currently we need a fortnightly cleaner to:
- clean bathroom (including shower) including in between tiles properly and whole bathroom including under cupboards
- clean kitchen (oven only periodically) but kitchen wiped down including cupboards and handles etc
- vacuum house
- wipe glass divider next to staircase
- house fully dusters before vacuum
Quarterly I'd like a full house clean, including spare rooms, drawers etc - but we'd pay extra for this of course.
Sounds like I'm being anal but I'm outlining it all now because we've had 3 cleaners and our first managed to be amazing but then she went and had a baby and the two since don't seem to quite understand what cleaning means 🙊
We're in Onehunga on Heretaunga Ave. I also run a business in Ponsonby and would be keen to have you do the office as well - it can be done on weekends and is 50m2 but needs a good dust, vacuum, and mop weekly including actually moving crap from the desks to wipe down not just wiping around paper.
Cheers!
Poll: 🗑️ Would you be keen to switch to a fortnightly rubbish collection, or do you prefer things as they are?
Aucklanders, our weekly rubbish collections are staying after councillors voted to scrap a proposed trial of fortnightly pick-ups.
We want to hear from you: would you be keen to switch to a fortnightly rubbish collection, or do you prefer things as they are?

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
