Welcome from Wesley Primary School

Heidi Rose from Wesley Primary School

Kia ora neighbours! Wesley Primary School is a multicultural learning environment, situated on the corner of Potter Ave and Holdsworth Ave and O'Donnell Ave. We celebrate the diversity of the learners within our school and believe in building strong relationships with our parents/whanau to ensure student success. We have e-learning classes where chromebooks and iPads are used to enhance student learning, run the Garden To Table programme and have a flourishing chess club. We offer a wide range of learning opportunities for students both in class and at break times, such as the Perceptual Motor Programme (movement and language programme) PMP, fitness club with Active Families, cultural and sports groups, lego and games club, dance group etc. We also run programmes for parents/families, such as Healthy Eating Cooking Classes, fitness and parenting classes. We run a Homework Help Club after school where Minter Ellison Rudd Watt lawyers come and work with our students every week. We're a community school with a big heart for our families/whanau.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
