MEGANZ School of Visual Arts
Hi there,
At MEGANZ SVA we run art development courses, which focus on drawing, painting and sculpture in the wider sense of the words. The courses are a mix of tutor and student initiated, for age nine through to adults. Students can work on their own projects at their own pace. We run within the school terms for 8 weeks each time.
My name is Megan Murphy and I have been an artist as far back as I can remember.
I attained a Bachelor of Visual Arts from MIT and a certificate in adult teaching and have been running my home studio based school in Cockle Bay since 2007.
If you decide you want your child to have extra art lessons after school or on the weekend. Or your teenager needs a little help with their college art boards and University portfolios. Or you yourself would like to re-kindle a life-long passion or gain extra skills and encouragement, then give me a call.
You will gain a strong grounding in the subjects of your choice. We can begin with drawing (a choice of) - traditional, contemporary, cartoon, book illustration, concept drawing, portraiture, human anatomy, life drawing, still life, landscape drawing... Then these studies can be taken further into painting (oils, Watercolour, Acrylic) and/or sculpture (Clay, Polymer clay's, wire etc and mixed media.
It's all interesting and great fun.
Drawing and composition is the basis to all design and creative arts. If you look around you now at all man-made objects in front of you, it would have been drawn and designed first by budding artists such as yourself. Look forward to hearing from you so we can get started.
