The musician/model is Ranjit Singh for this workshop and he will be playing his guitar and singing while we draw him.

The cost is $20.00 for two hours plus a light refreshment break in the middle. Bring along some paper and your drawing tools, sit down and relax and draw for an afternoon while you listen to live music. Too good to be true! the workshops are tutorless.

Our first workshop went well and you can check this out on my Instagram page under - musocoal

Message me (Megan) to be on the list. Only 3 places left!
Look forward to meeting you.

Hi there, I have a new idea for a drawing workshop and would really like a show of hands as to who may like to attend? I need a minimum of 18 people to cover costs and get it running.
I thought it would be nice to hire a musician (for a change) to be our life-model and while they play we can listen and draw them.
There won't be a tutor at all, just come along with your drawing tools and paper, and away you go! Great drawing practice for the artists and a great time for the musicians to have a very attentive audience in front of them.
I would hire a different person, and musical instrument for each workshop - Keyboard, Cello, Violin, and Guitar.
I have penciled in 4 afternoons, spanning every two weeks over Term 3. The first one will be on Saturday 25th July - 2.30 - 4.30 pm, at -Te Whare Ora, 37 Uxbridge Road, Howick.
The other dates are - 8th & 22nd August & 5th Sept.
The cost of each two-hour workshop will be $20.00
The name Musocoal is put together from Music or Muso and Charcoal.
Also if I do achieve the workshop numbers, I will be looking for competent musicians to play and model for us, so if you know of someone who plays any of those instruments mentioned above, I would like to hear from them. I would pay for your time.
I realize 2 hours is a long time to play but they wouldn't have to play all the time, they could just sit still at different times throughout it. We will have breaks as well. Probably softer music would be appropriate.
If you are interested in trying your hand at drawing a musician while they played please let me know and I will place your name on the list.
Cheers

I have called the workshop - 'Musocoal' - part Muso and Charcoal.
There will be light refreshments at half time. So bring your pencils, pens, charcoal, sketching paper whatever and enjoy the afternoon.
I will provide an A4 clipboard but if you want to go bigger that will be up to you to bring something to lean on. It will be tutor-less so you can explore drawing in your own way. Don't worry if you haven't done it before or not, just give it a go! Could be the start of a new thing for you! Phone or text Megan = 021 1085419

Hi all,
This year has been a hard year for my family and I with the loss of our youngest son in September. I had to stop teaching my art classes for a while. I did, however, manage to resume them for this final term and now we only have two weeks left for the year.
My students have done some amazing work this year and I am proud of every one of them as I see their individual progress.
I am looking forward to starting again in 2020 with new ideas and projects, with Plein air drawing and painting in the February summer months being one of them. I teach students from age 10 through to adults, with a combination of student-initiated and tutor-initiated projects. So keep us in mind if you or your child will be interested in learning - drawing, painting, mixed media and sculpture in the new year.
Contact me (Megan) if you would like me to make a voucher for a Xmas present for however many art classes you would like for next year.
Wishing you all a very special summer festive season.
