About Hewson Real Estate Limited Licensed (REAA 2008)

Hewson Real Estate has been trading in Kerikeri since the early 1950’s. Established by Mr GB (Don) Hewson, who won international recognition for specialising in coastal property and islands. Hewson’s continued involvement with the successful marketing and selling of real estate in the Far North was further strengthened in the late 1970’s when Ian Knox became a partner, then the owner of the local business.

Ian conducted the first million dollar sale in the Bay, and was an integral part of the local community. He was part of the initial group who established the Kerikeri Retirement Village, and became President for many years. He was also involved with the Real Estate Institute of NZ, Kerikeri Primary School, RSA Trust, Riding For The Disabled and many other community ventures. He was the President of the Justices of the Peace NZ Association and was awarded the Queens Service Medal for Community Service.

In late 2011 the business was passed onto his wife, Beren and their daughter Laura, who continues to run the family business with strong values, ethics and brings her passion for the business, community and technology.

Hewson’s joined the Ray White Network in 1994, which today is the largest real estate company in Australasia.

Established in 1902, in the small Queensland country town of Crows Nest, Ray White has evolved into Australasia’s most successful real estate business, nearly 1,000 individual offices across Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, China, the Middle East and Atlanta USA.
