Neil Gandy, owner of Hand-Carved Furniture Co, started from humble beginnings creating furniture out of his backyard workshop. Neil gained valuable experience running one of Wellington’s principal solid wood furniture stores for over 30 years. Over the last four decades, Neil has witnessed and endured many changes in his industry. Most notable include increased competition with mass-produced and imported furniture and the banning of Rimu logging in 2000.
