First National Collective Hawera

First National Collective is a real estate company evolved from and founded on it's predecessor First National Allied Farmers, who successfully serviced the Taranaki province for over 120 years.

The business was purchased in April 2013 by existing real estate agents Shawn Gibbon and Owen Mills and their wives Pam and Mary.

We have been a member of the New Zealand and Australia wide First National Group since 1999, offering a much broader base of client connections and referrals and the ability to capitalise on the national network while retaining the advantage of local ownership and identity.

Our offices are situated in Stratford, Hawera and New Plymouth and specialise in the marketing of residential, rural, lifestyle and commercial properties, as well as providing rental Property Management services.

The long established rural sales side of the business has for many years performed particularly well, traditionally achieving a market share of 50% or greater of farm sales in Taranaki each year.

About this property
Affordable entry into farm ownership - West Coast lease opportunity

Located on Kirihau Road, off Plymouth Road, this 38.4451 ha West Coast lease block offers a well-established dairy platform with strong infrastructure and additional land options to scale your operation.

The farm is currently milking 140 cows and features a modern 20-aside herringbone cowshed with in-shed feed system, silo, and a four-bay calf-rearing shed. The vendor also leases two adjoining private blocks of 32 ha and 20 ha - both available to continue if required. The 20 ha block is currently used for milking, while the 32 ha is run as a support block for drystock.

Additional improvements include 3-phase power in the workshop, a generator shed, and around 120 tonnes of mixed meal fed through the system annually. Production is consistently around 45,000-48,000 milk solids per season.

A comfortable three-bedroom home with sun-soaked decking completes the picture - an ideal base just 20 minutes from New Plymouth.

The current West Coast Lease (WCL) rental is $14,500 + GST per annum. After 14 successful years here, the vendors are moving on, creating a genuine opportunity for the next owner.

With over 80 hectares currently farmed across the leases, this property has the scale and potential to run 200+ cows - an affordable entry point into farm ownership with room to grow.
