Peacefully at Resthaven Home & Hospital, on Sunday 20th November 2022; in his 91st year. Very much loved husband of the late Ngaire for 60 years, much loved partner of Sylvia. Loved father of Warren & Heather (Hawera), Vivienne & Ray Bennett (Hamilton), Karen & Phil Crossan (Auckland), David & Tracey (Cambridge), and Ross & Dianne (Oxford). Very much loved Poppa to all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Thank you Sylvia for making dad’s final years so happy for him. Bryce will be lying in state at David & Tracey’s home, please phone David on 027 827 7293 for details. All welcome. A celebration of Bryce’s life will be held at Woodside Estate, 130 Woodside Road, Tamahere, Hamilton, on Wednesday, 30th November 2022 at 1.00pm, followed by a private cremation. Passed away at Eventhorpe Care Home, aged 95 years. Previous resident of Hilda Ross Retirement Village. A service to celebrate her life has been held. Dearly loved Aunty of Mark and Glynnis Paton, Doug and Millie Paton and Tom Paton. (The late) Kerry Linton, Pam and Bruce Trow, Janet McKenzie and Chappie Paul, Helen and Pete Trotter and Grant and Tracey Cooper. Great-Aunt to Sixteen nieces and nephews. Pam, Bruce, Helen, and Pete would like to thank Eventhorpe Care Home for their friendliness and the great care they gave to Shirley.

Peacefully at home, on Wednesday, November 22, 2022, aged 79 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Duncan (formerly Waimate), adored mother and loving Nan of Grant, Caeden, and Rhylee (Edendale); Todd (Mataura Island). Dearly loved daughter of the late Francis and Runa Cathcart (formerly Otapiri). A service to farewell Dorothy will be held at the Christian Activity Centre, George Street, Edendale, on Monday, November 28 at 1.30pm, followed by a cuppa, before leaving for interment at the Edendale Cemetery. Peacefully on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Summerset Bishops Court, in her 72nd year. Dearly loved daughter of the late Neville and Audrey Briscoe. Much loved cousin of Jan and Ted Moore (dec), Grant White, Rodney White (dec); Pauline and Ivan Jeffs, Denis Welsh and their families. CLYNE, Vida Ann (nee Neary)

On November 18, 2022, aged 71 years. Dearly loved wife of 51 years of David. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Ayleath and Lee Foote, Marcus Clyne and Juliet Pullar. Beloved grandmother, teacher and mentor to Samuel, Imogen, Xanthe and Isabelle. Loved sister of Luke. Sadly missed by Pierre and Bella. Vida was born in the winter of post-war Britain and died under the Canterbury skies. She lived in Khartoum, Riyadh, Shanghai, Mumbai and many places in New Zealand. At Vida’s request, a private cremation has been held.

On November 21, 2022, peacefully at Rose Court Retirement Home; aged 86 years. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Gavin and Regina, Steven and Angie, Nicky and Roo, Jacky and Brent, and friend of the late Frank. Loved and adored nana of Taylor; Stephen, Thomas, Hamish and Waiata; Alana and Sean, Kara, Krista; Philip, Kelly and Nathan, Stevie, and a loved great-nana of Sophie. Best friend of Sue for 40 years, brother and brother-in- law of Anna (Taupo), Graham and Diane, Nick and Anne Leitch (Auckland), and the late Lois Ann and Ian Lyall, Jonathan Nilsson, and Josephine Beattie, beloved of his Christchurch family Jan Carr, Caroline Ross and Brent Collins, Dianne Ross, Allison and Simon Elkington, Wendy Mackenzie and the late Andrew, son-in-law of Ngaira Ross and late Alton (Barney), treasured by his many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews across the country, cherished by his many communities, father of Kjesten, Kit (Canada) and Jennie, and grandad to his dearly beloved grandchildren Tarn, Dustin, Pippi, Max, Mackenzie, and Quentin. Passed away peacefully on Monday, 21 November 2022, aged 92. Loved wife of the late Bill. Loved mother of Guy and Kaye, James, John and Nicola. Cherished Gran of Jonathan, Lauren, Nicole, Matt, Cam, Alex and Juliet, and Great-Gran of 5. A service to celebrate the life of Ann will be held in the All Saints Anglican Church, Hohaia Street, Matamata, on Thursday, 1 December 2022, at 1.30pm, followed by private cremation.
