He leaves behind his partner Sacha Pointon, four children Te Rawhina, Miriama, Tiopira & Rangimarie, and grandchildren Hinewaiora, Meerabai, Huirama, Kiwa, Talanoa, Taekaha, Nukutawhiti, Atamai, Awanui, Aleki & Hero.
