Mission: To provide an appropriate Library Service for the community. The library functions as a Community - School library and is located inside the grounds of the Whangarei Heads: School. Library Hours: Open on school days when school is operating ( 9.00 - 4.00) Saturday Mornings 10.00 - 12 Noon and during school holidays Monday - Saturday 10.00 - 12.00 noon. Closed Public Holidays. We buy our own books as well as having about 150 books each month on loan from the Whangarei Public Library. We are supported by an annual grant from the Whangarei District Council and other funding providers as well as Community Volunteers. This is a free service available to the Parua Bay and Whangarei Heads community and new members and volunteers are very welcome.
