The Tamahere Community Committee is elected after each Council election. It has up to 12 members elected to represent Tamahere residents to liaise with Waikato District Council on all community issues and matters of concern or interest. It also works with the Waikato Regional Council, Hamilton City Council, NZTA and other communities
