We provide Tibetan Buddhist Teachings of the Sakya Lineage to the people of Hawkes Bay and New Zealand. We support people to develop wisdom and compassion through the Buddhist Teachings and to manifest these qualities in the world. Phuntsok Choeling is a Sakya Buddhist Centre, which has been operating in Hawkes Bay since 2001. The Spiritual Director is Lama Choedak Rinpoche, who is resident in Australia and who visits twice a year to give teachings and advise students. Phuntsok Choeling has a membership of 27 and an Executive Committee of 7 who are the Trustees and who manage the business of the Centre.
