Maungaraki Community Association (MCA) is made up of a group of local residents who love Maungaraki and want to help make Maungaraki an even better place to live. The MCA responds to local issues, making submissions to Hutt City Council and Greater Wellington Regional Council and other local bodies when called for. The MCA is a hub for community consultation. Since 2003, the MCA hosts a Quiz Night fundraiser and donates funds to early childhood providers, such as Maungaraki School, and community projects. MCA is always looking for new members and membership is available to all residents (18+) of Maungaraki. MCA meetings are on the 2nd Tuesday of every month except December and January, 7.30pm at the Community Hall. Meetings are open to the public and everyone is welcome. Should voting be necessary on any issue, only the vote of committee members will be counted.
