About Manchester House Social Services. (MHSS) Manchester House was established in 1972 and is a medium sized not-for-profit organisation focused on delivering services within Feilding and the surrounding Manawatu district. Our mission is to provide non-judgemental non-discriminatory compassionate and caring support for those in need. We live this mission through providing integrated on-demand services to those in the community in times of need, including social work, counselling and family support services, budgeting and financial mentoring, parenting and early childhood programmes, a foodbank service and senior based programmes. As a means of financially supporting ourselves we provide services to the community including two well frequented Opportunity Shops, and the ASAP morning, afternoon and holiday programme for children. Our social services provide services, programmes and information to an excess of several thousand individuals per year totalling, as per our 2019 statistics 28341 separate contacts. We have strong community links and partnerships and an established reputation in the community.
