Whau Cafe

In an iconic building perched on Maungawhau (Mount Eden), that dates back to 1926, Whau Cafe specialises in contemporary Māori kai (food) showcasing traditional Māori ingredients in every dish.

With both indoor and outdoor seating available, Whau also includes a Real Fruit Ice Cream parlor to keep you cool on a hot summers day whilst you take in the scenery of Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland).

The cafe also features 'TE IPU KŌRERO O MAUNGAWHAU' - a visitor experience center which features a small theater and interactive model which explores the history of the maunga (mountain).
